About the Author


Roger Burrows has traveled North America extensively. While completing his B.Sc., he worked as a naturalist, interpretive planner and avifaunal consultant and has since worked as a bird identification workshop provider, avifaunal surveyor and naturalist on cruise ships. He has also been a writer/photographer for, and then owner of, a rural lifestyle magazine.

Jeff Gilligan has been an avid birder in the Pacific Northwest for more than 40 years. He is a former regional editor for "American Birds" and "North American Birds" and has written for a variety of ornithological publications. He is author of two books on Oregon birds. Jeff has literally traveled around the world on birding expeditions, having toured throughout Asia, Africa, the South Pacific and South America.
