About the Author

Isabel Schon (Ph.D., University of Colorado) is a professor of library science, Arizona State University, Tempe. Among her widely acclaimed publications are A Bicultural Heritage; A Hispanic Heritage, Series I-III; and Basic Collection of Children's Books in Spanish (Scarecrow). She won ALA's Grolier Award in 1986.
