Borghese
During the early years of the twentieth century, a family is uprooted by the relentless pressure of social revolution. Forced to emigrate it finds momentary respite in a foreign land. Tranquility is but short lived when it is suddenly replaced by the uncertainty and despair brought about by a pandemic. The family's head of household is suddenly taken by the angel of death. The children and their mother find themselves in a quandary. The boys find the moment to be one of liberty and exploration. They decide, contrary to their mother's wishes, to leave their home town in search of a livelyhood. Their journey takes three of them south to the metropolis while a fourth decides on continuing a ranch life to the north. The realities of their choice soon become manifest. First as a group and later individually, each makes the decisions that will mark the rest of his life.
