The Bryant Family Chronicles is a series of novels about a family with a knack for solving murder mysteries and other crimes. TBFC: Death and Gold in Zara Zote takes place in tropical settings of Sarasota, Florida and the surrounding area. In the span of 24 hours, the family is plunged into two separate mysteries. The first is a murder mystery involving modern day pirates. The second mystery involves a forgotten treasure from 300 years ago. The two mysteries intertwine and result in an action packed ending.

The family consists of Rick and Danielle Bryant and their daughters Nikki (age 21) and Shelli (age 14). Rick owns a hi-tech company that builds gadgets of all kinds. These are used throughout the book to protect his family and to pursue the criminals. The girls' skill set will delight and surprise the reader.

About the Author

Eddie Hughes is the president and co-owner of a hi-tech company that specializes in sophisticated surveillance equipment. He travels the world for the company -- from Iraq to Norway. The exotic flavors of the travels abroad and throughout the US enrich the novels he writes.

Mr. Hughes graduated with degrees in Physics and Math from Lynchburg College and the University of Hawaii. He uses this background and his experience in hi-tech development to add authenticity to the technology found in this book. He loves the great outdoors, and is an avid fisherman and saltwater kayaker. Mr. Hughes is a certified scuba diver and loves to take his family snorkeling, spearfishing, and fishing in tropical locales around the world.

Mr. Hughes has two daughters and a loving wife, and lives in Herndon, Virginia. He frequents the Gulf Coast several times a year, and can often be found fishing along the islands and beaches from Lido Beach to Boca Grande.
