About the Author

Artist and photographer Glen Boles has climbed extensively throughout North America and Europe, but his first love is the Canadian Rockies, where he has summited over 450 peaks, often by difficult new routes. Many of his climbs were first ascents. Glen, who lives in Cochrane, Alberta, is the author of Glen Boles: My Mountain Album. Art & Photography of the Canadian Rockies & Columbia Mountains.

Raised in Revelstoke, British Columbia, Roger Laurilla was exposed to the mountains at an early age. His images have been published in such magazines as Canadian Geographic, British Columbia Magazine, Ski Canada, Powder Magazine and Backcountry.

Honoured by mountaineering societies at home and abroad, William Putnam is a highly decorated veteran of the 10th Mountain Division (Second World War). He has been frequenting the world's mountains and writing about mountaineering history for most of his life.
