About the Author

Julie Collins was born in the Isle of Man in 1962. After studying Fine Art at the University of Reading from 1980 to 1984 she has traveled, made art, written and taught. Julie works from her studio in Farnham, Surrey where she explores her passion for painting, drawing and making. She has written the Colour Mixing Index for David & Charles, published 2007 and Artists’ Problem Solver for Collins, published 2003. She has been a freelance writer for The Artist magazine since 1999.
