About the Author

Dr. Balogun is an African born in Ikere, Ekiti State in Nigeria, and now a naturalized citizen of the United States. His birth name is Adebamigbe. His late mom, Alice Ogunmeowe (Okun o Eye, suñre o), was well-known in Afawo, Ikere. As described by him, “Where I grew up is one of the best places on the planet, very peaceful, and the people of Ekiti are among the most loving, highly intelligent, contented, and kind people in the world.”

As a husband and a father of seven children, he is also a proud grandfather. His wife, his Egyptian rose, clearly epitomizes beauty—what a genuine human being! Dr. Balogun once wrote, “I would never forget that beautiful day in March when we met in New Jersey. To have finally met an individual who truly love God and a follower of Christ was more than I had hoped for. Our love and admiration for the land of the free and home of the brave runs deep, hence the desire to see division erased from the face of Earth.”
