About the Author

Dick Vitale is one of the most recognizable voices in American broadcasting. After coaching the Detroit Pistons from 1978–1979,
Vitale began covering sports nationally while working for the then-fledgling ESPN. In 2008, Vitale celebrated his thirtieth year at ESPN. He has won numerous awards throughout his career and has authored seven books, including Dick Vitale’s Living a Dream.

Dick Weiss is a sportswriter for the New York Daily News and previously worked for nineteen years at the Philadelphia Daily News. He is a past president of the U.S. Basketball Writers Association and the College Football Writers of America. Weiss has received the Basketball Hall of Fame's Curt Gowdy Media Award, the NIT Media Award and the Big East Media Award. He has coauthored books with Rick Pitino, John Calipari, and Dick Vitale.

Mike Krzyzewski has been the coach of the Blue Devils since 1980. Under his tenure, the Devils have won four NCAA Championshipss. In 2001,
Krzyewski was elected to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. He lives in
Durham, North Carolina.
