Although employees' salaries were low, Disney was shattered when his staff went on strike, and he turned into a bitter, anti-labor Red-baiter. Coming soon after Mosley's biography of the long-time head of 20th Century-Fox ( Zanuck ) is this biography of another Hollywood mogul, Walt Disney. Mosley begins almost apologetically, defending his effort to show ``the real Walt Disney.'' But as it turns out, even if Walt sometimes swore or was often grouchy, no shocking skeletons are exposed. Instead, this is a standard, well-researched biography of the prime creator of Mickey Mouse. (Some errors have slipped throughe.g., One Hundred Men and a Girl was produced at Universal, not Paramount.) The dearth of sensational material will keep this off the best-seller lists, but if your copy of Bob Thomas's Walt Disney is missing or worn, then Disney's World will serve well as a replacement.
