About the Author

Dr. Winkler studied chemistry at the University of Stuttgart. From 1980 to 1985 he worked with the German Paint Research Institute "FPL" in Stuttgart, where he studied pigment flocculation and performed work on the energy balancing of dispersion equipment. From 1985 to 2009 he worked with Sachtleben Chemie in Duisburg, Germany, where he was responsible for Research and Development. Since 2009 he has been working with the coatings manufacturer Hemmelrath Lackfabrik GmbH in Klingenberg, Germany.
