About the Author

Marion lives in the outer Marlborough Sounds in New Zealand. She considers the remoteness of Manaroa and its natural beauty, sea against mountains, a great place to live as an author. Writing now for seven years, she has four printed published books, her latest a biography published by Halcyon Press NZ - Injun Joe: The Legend of Smoking Joe Collins, a NZ best-seller. Marion has had children’s stories selected for New Zealand anthologies, and was short-listed in the Joy Cowley Awards 2011. Amongst other Awards, she won the New Zealand Rural Women’s short story competition Women of the Land, the book titled after her winning story, Ragwort and Thistles. In early 2015 Marion won the New Zealand Rural Women’s/Ministry of Primary Industries farming stories competition. Marion now has a number of eBooks published in Smashwords, Amazon Kindle and Wheelers, (NZ National and School Library supplier) At present she is writing her first novel for young adults, due for release in 2016.
