Dons of The Bradland

“...remember one thing…you don’t play by the rules, you make the rules. You get what you can, however you can and don’t trust anybody”
That was the advice which was given to Nasser Ali’s at the tender age of 16 by a local gangster. Being kicked out of school in his final year earned Nasser the wrath of his hard working parents who decided the only remedy for their rebellious son was to send him to Pakistan to straighten him out.
Several years later, Nasser Ali returns to Bradford; older, wiser and more criminalised than when he left. He also brings with him a parcel; a suitcase which is connected to a senior crime lord.
Through a string of unfortunate events, Nasser finds himself being pulled into drug dealing, dodging bullets, witnessing brutal gangland executions, betrayal, grappling with an identity crisis of being a young British, Pakistani Muslim and trying to make sense of the world around him.
As he gets deeper and deeper into the gangster life and moves up the layer cake, he soon realizes that he must find a way out of the criminal lifestyle, but how?
