About the Author

Mark is retired U.S. military and spent nearly nine years in the deserts of Iraq, Kuwait, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. He completed his BBA and MBA while deployed in Afghanistan and is continuing his education currently in Arizona where he lives.

Mark has been a member of Ar n'Draoicht Fein (ADF) since 2003. He is a member of the Order of Bards Ovates and Druids (OBOD), the British Druidic Order (BDO), the Bandarach College of Druidry (BCD), and the New Order of Druids (NOD).

He's active in the ADF Dedicant Program as well as the Pagan community in Phoenix, AZ. He is active in the Pagan community and completed his Druidic education with the Bandarach in 2004 and the New Order in 2011. He is currently serving on the New Order of Druids Council and is an online mentor for the NOD Barddic course. He also completed his first year of training with the BDO and the UAOD. He founded the Ordo Astari (Order of the Star) in North Carolina in 2001 which at one time consisted of over 350 pagans. In honor of this, he was initiated into the Fayetteville Council of Elders in 2003.

He was ordained as a Minister in 2001, and has officiated at two legal handfastings in the state of North Carolina.
