Master blues guitarist and music instructor Jeff McErlain hosts this sequel to his previous instructional release, 50 Blues Guitar Licks You Must Know!. Whereas the prior effort focused on blues music in general, this one hones in on blues rock. It presents guitar licks in the styles of such performers as David Gilmour, Keith Richards, Joe Bonamassa, David Grissom and Van Halen. Techniques that McErlain covers here include modal vamps, rhythm patterns, pedal point licks, hybrid picking and many others - designed to teach aspiring performers such styles as Memphisto, Chicago, Mississippi Delta and British. As in the prior efforts, McErlain emphasizes a hands-on approach to learning, where students "play their way" through lessons with such devices as practice rhythm tracks, PI P video, and interactive tracks and notation.
