The History Channel brings to life the most scary, allegedly haunted locales in cities around the world with the Haunted History series. This episode features some of the supernatural tales from the historic city Savannah, GA. Haunted History tells the story of how some employees in one of Savannah's oldest and most famous restaurants often see the ghost of an 18th century pirate. Then, there are apparition sightings in the famed Bonaventure Cemetery, where witnesses not only see spirits but also can hear noises of the undead. In parts of the city, clanking chains can be heard back from the times when slaves were brought into Savannah by the river. One of the infamous Savannah stories happened in recent years and was the basis for the nonfiction book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by writer John Berendt.
