This documentary takes a look at the role that elder citizens have had in working to preserve the unique culture of the Hawaiian islands. Known traditionally as the Kapuna, the elders are a source of respect and reverence in Hawaiian society, and those featured in the film offer many insights about living through the changes of the 20th century.
