A black 15-year-old named Brandon (Jahking Guillory) finally gets his hands on a coveted pair of Air Jordan sneakers, only to see them stolen by a local thug. With the help of two of his friends (Christopher Meyer and Christopher Jordan Wallace), he decides to embark on an adventure through inner-city Oakland to retrieve them. Kicks marks the feature directorial debut of Justin Tipping.
