Captive Planet will never be any threat to Star Wars, but it might be fun viewing on a rainy day. The no-star cast, headed by Sharon Baker and Chris Avran, are imprisoned when imperious extraterrestrials invade the Earth. Organizing an underground movement of sorts, the heroes and heroines beat back the insidious aliens at every opportunity. The special effects are on the level of an 8-millimeter backyard movie...but isn't that part of the fun? Captive Planet was directed by Al Bradley, every bit as world-famous as his cast.
