Originally made for television, this Warner Bros. release was followed a year later by the television series The FBI which ended up running a total of nine years.The story tells of a electronics corporate employee--an expert in explosives--who is fired from his position. Desperate for revenge, he concocts a plan to blow up an airplane carrying three of the company's leading executives. Sooner than the crazed bomber can say J. Edgar Hoover, agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation attempt to thwart his plan. The narrative style of this feature provides insight to the techniques utilized by the Bureau in such cases. William Reynolds, who appears here as a G-man would later play agent Colby in TV's The FBI (1967-74).
