Aging jockey Jackson Silva (Clifton Collins Jr.) refuses to admit that his body can no longer withstand the demands of the horseracing sport to which he dedicated the entirety of his being. When rookie jockey Gabriel (Moises Arias) arrives at the track, he seeks Jackson's advice to make it in the industry. Inspired by Gabriel's grit, Jackson vows to claim one final racing championship before his time is up, all the while grappling with an unexpected revelation from the younger man.
