Overview

The French Foreign Legion is battling roving war tribes in the French Sudan. France is falling to the Germans at home, and the Legion must fight the tribes and the Nazis. The French enlist an American trader (Victor Mature) to deliver a Moslem holy man to Timbuktu in hopes of averting an assault on the city. Mature falls for the commander's wife (Yvonne DeCarlo) and deliversher to safety when her husband dies a heroes death.
