Chapter One

To let life happen to you is irresponsible To create your day is your divine right Ramtha

TRINITY OF LUCK

Ancient Chinese philosophy states that humankind's well-being is not only determined by their own free will and efforts, but also by the energetic influences of the heavens and the earth. In a nutshell, it states that our life is greatly influenced by three factors: Human Luck, Earth Luck, and Heaven Luck.

We need to become aware of these influences in our lives, and learn how to align ourselves with the factors that rule and govern success and the natural order of the universe we live in. In doing so, we will be able to benefit from a vast amount of good fortune, luck, and success throughout our lives.

So what exactly are these three factors and how do they contribute to your success and well being?

Earth Luck

Earth Luck is comprised of environmental influences, such as our homes and work environments and the cities and countries in which we live. The odds of success are initially greater for someone born in a country of freedom and wealth than for someone who is born into a poverty-stricken family or country.

We all live in this multi-dimensional environment. Therefore this Earth Luck concerns the balance and harmony between ourselves and all that surrounds us. It reflects the way we orient ourselves in order to tap into the many positive energies and opportunities around us.

Human beings are a magnetic field operating within a larger electromagnetic field - the earth. When we are correctly aligned with our surroundings, we are able to flow in harmony with all that we are aspiring towards, our relationships, and the successes we are hoping for.

Our surroundings are constantly communicating unconscious messages to the universe, twenty-four hours a day. We can attract happiness, success, and wealth with our efforts, but if our surroundings do not convey that message, then the results will not match what we hope to achieve.

All of us should consciously try to align our surroundings with all that we are aspiring towards. (I have gone into more details on this subject in Chapter 16 on "Creating the Environment for Success").

As we become consciously aware of these factors and improve our environment, we will start to think, feel, and act in a manner consistent with the life we have always envisioned for ourselves.

Human Luck

We have the ability to attract and achieve what we want in life and to enhance our magnetism within this universal magnetic field. Our Human Luck refers to everything we create through our own efforts and is the kind of luck we develop during the course of our lifetime. This luck, and our ability to develop into the person we would like to become, is directly related to the skills, talents, and abilities that we increase and enhance in ourselves.

It is essentially the luck, good fortune, and success that we create for ourselves by our own actions and the decisions that we make. This is the part of our life over which we have 100 percent control. It is achieved and developed through our up-bringing, virtues, education, our own actions and decisions, life strategies, and our willingness to work hard and intelligently in order to attain our goals.

We can directly influence our ability to become successful and gain happiness by acquiring skills, talents, and abilities for ourselves during the course of our lifetime.

Human Luck is also the result of exploring our world and trying to better ourselves by growing as human beings and involves all that we do in order to expand and create our inner world through our own thoughts and our ideas.

We increase this luck through the knowledge and experience we gain from business, our career, our life experiences and the relationships with others, exploring the world, personal and professional training and by effectively navigating our chosen path using the best strategies and techniques. This is the luck that most motivational speakers and self-help authors write about.

Heaven Luck

Heaven Luck is the luck that followed us when we came to this earth. Some people refer to this as your "destiny". Others refer to it as "Karma". You cannot deny the fact that you had no say as to the place and time of your birth, or whether you were born into a rich family or a poor one, your status in life or your physical appearance.

Many people believe that this type of luck does not depend on us and that we can do nothing to change it. However, I believe that we can do something to change it.

This aspect of our lives is greatly affected by the laws of cause and effect. This law (in a nutshell) states that all the good that we do will come back to us in one form or another and that the reverse takes place when our negative actions result in negative consequences in our life.

Therefore, this is the type of luck that we create for ourselves not just for the present but also for the future. It is our mode of operating in various situations in life. We achieve this kind of luck through the good deeds that we do, the way that we interact with every being that we meet, and the positive impact that we create to foster the wellbeing of others.

Many cultures believe that the power of good deeds, positive intentions, prayers, and fasting can elevate us to improve our luck in this life and beyond. I would relate this luck as having an effect on the well-being of your soul.

God gave us free will so that we can design our lives. We contribute to the shaping of our own destiny by the everyday decisions and deeds that may either bring us good "Karma" or bad "Karma". We cannot change the past, but we can consciously change our present and our future. Towards the end of our lives, as we look back, we will determine how we have used the beautiful energy and life that we were blessed with and the results we produced whether good or bad.

How The "Trinity Of Luck" Contributes To Your Success And Well-Being

You may not have had a conscious choice in where you were born or the home you were born into or your status in life. But guess what? You have been given the free will to change your destiny and co-create the life that you have always dreamed about. What will give you the added advantage, is to know the factors that affect you when developing the strategies that navigate your life into what you would like it to be.

The journey of success in life is not based on the cards you are dealt, but on how well you play and know the rules, tips, tricks and techniques. Since we are made up of mind, body, spirit, and soul; success and luck are created by many different factors - some more obvious than others. Therefore, when grooming ourselves for success and happiness, we need to address all those areas of our lives. The theory of the 'Trinity of Luck' provides a framework that covers all of them.

With this in mind, from start to finish this book incorporates a variety of strategies and information that can enhance our Human, Earth, and Heaven Luck, thereby enriching and adding value to our minds, bodies, spirits, and souls.

I have seen many books and coaching programs that are written for success that cater to one or two aspects of who we are - namely our "mind and body" or "spirit and soul". But I have seen very few that cater to all. In this book, I have incorporated information for success in all four areas. It is fashioned around blending timeless wisdom with modern techniques and strategies to propel you forward to fulfilling the destiny you were created for.

During this process of enhancement, all that we accomplish will positively impact our physical, spiritual, and mental world and provide us with greater success and fulfillment. We will be able to assist as co-creators of our reality and move beyond this material world enjoying the kind of success that truly fulfills our destiny and purpose here on earth. Our successes will remain long after we have moved on from this world.

The key to the "Trinity of Luck" is to live a balanced life by incorporating effective strategies in all the areas of influence in our lives. We can shape our destiny and create the life and success that we are aspiring towards.

I believe that in order to truly live a fulfilled life and gain lasting success and become wiser and more evolved in this life, we need to develop and nurture those four aspects of who we are.

Do We Have Control Over Our Lives?

We have far more control over our lives than most people think. Our focus should be on learning to harness our personal power and our natural talents, combined with the resources we have been given, so that we will be capable of handling anything that comes our way!

When God gives us a dream in our hearts, He also gives us the abilities and resources to fulfill that dream. We are co-creators of our reality and are responsible for creating the life that we would like to live. In the words of Billy Mill, "every passion has its destiny."

It is now time to realize that in order to break those patterns that we dislike, and take control of our lives and our actions, and create a vision that is consistent with all that we would like for ourselves, we need to find new workable strategies for success.

Most importantly, believe in yourself. If you are not happy with some area of success in your life, every day is a new day and you are faced with several choices. Even if they do not seem apparent to you at that time, you can change your life and create the one life that you are seeking.

I have provided various concepts and some advance achievement strategies that anyone can implement in order to discover what their life's purpose is and then be able to develop a plan to achieve their goals.

As you read this book and practice all that it offers, you will be empowered to enrich and add value to your mind, body, spirit and soul and in doing so create the masterpiece of your life by:

• Understanding and harnessing the power of a magnetic universe • Develop qualities that are needed to attract higher levels of success and live an ethically driven life • Cultivate habits to attract success

• Uncover your purpose here on earth, if you haven't already done so • Move beyond "wishing" and towards achieving your life and business goals • Maximize the power of prayer and positive intentions to your advantage • Develop your plan for success and design a life individually tailored for you • Release what no longer serves you • Crystallize your plans and strategies for success • Move into higher levels of goal attainment

By all means this is not the "end all" but is hopefully the beginning or continuation (depending on where you are) of your success journey. Success in life and with your goals are not only measured by the size of your bankbook or your assets but can be reflected in so many ways.

When you improve how you think, feel, and act you will greatly improve your chances for success. When you increase your chances for success, you will improve your ability to be happy, to learn and to grow, and to make a more significant contribution to this world. In doing this, you will as a result contribute to the growth and development of your soul.

So with that in mind let us begin your journey ...

EMPOWERED FOR SUCCESS

What Is Your Definition Of Success?

"Success" can be subjective: each of us has our own interpretation of what it means because we are endowed with our unique abilities and aspirations. If I were to ask you what your interpretation of success was, it may be vastly different from how others view it. Chances are, the majority of you would come up with different versions of what success means to you.

For some people, having success is raising the best family, making this world a better place, or finding their "soul mate". Having true success in life is not only about all the material possessions that they acquire, but also about the person they become in the process.

For others, success may mean taking their careers to the highest level, or establishing a million-dollar company, or exceeding their business goals and objectives and having all the material things that money can buy.

Success can be a combination of all of the above, and we do not need to have one at the expense of the other. We can acquire financial security and wealth and make a positive contribution to the people around us and in the world. (It does not matter the size of our positive contribution as much as it is our intentions and the capabilities you are equipped with.)

The fact is that having success means multiple things to different people and can be contextual, based on what we are seeking in life and in business.

One of the best definitions of success I have come across is this, "Success is simply realizing the attainment of a goal or a dream that your heart is deeply connected to". It is the birthing of a dream that fuels passion and drive inside of you and gives you a hunger you simply cannot deny".

As human beings, we are here to experience as much as possible and to grow as souls evolving through this great cosmos we occupy in time. If we truly want to be successful in life and live a fulfilled destiny, then success will come when we incorporate the right strategies and techniques and an effective game plan.

When we recognize the divinity we are born with, our own set of special abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, we will discover that we are equipped with everything that we need to fulfill our purpose here on earth.

We all have our unique purpose here on earth - a special one that only we were created for. We are like pieces of a big jigsaw puzzle, and when put together we create an absolutely beautiful picture - the masterpiece of all masterpieces.

At the end of our life's journey, we leave behind the legacy we have built, and we take with us all that we have learned and all the good we have accomplished. Whether it lies in the lives of people we have touched, or the projects we have been a part of, we should always aspire to leave this world a far better place than we found it.

Are We Empowered For Success?

I have spent most of my life observing people around me who have tremendous potential and personal power, yet they lacked belief in themselves. Some were either held back by people who were afraid of their greatness and managed to make them feel insecure and insignificant: while others knew their own worth but lacked the skills needed to move themselves forward.

It's so easy to look at others who appear more successful than us and compare ourselves unfavorably to them or to want what they have. At other times, we may look at ourselves in the face of adversity; or compare our own successes and wonder who are we, to walk in such greatness: and may have a tendency to minimize our own capabilities and our God given rights to greatness.

I know that each of us can achieve things far beyond our wildest imaginations in areas of life we have yet to explore. I know this because throughout my life

I have witnessed what happens to people when they finally discover their vast resources, potential, special abilities, and power.

We are all masterpieces, sculpted and carefully designed to be the absolute best people for the purpose for which we were created. When our Creator molded us, He/She took the time and lovingly provided the very best in each of us.

We were all given dreams and abilities that we have had since we were children (or even at birth) and in order to fulfill our unique purpose in this world, we need to know what they are. It is all too easy for us to look at others who appear to have more and to want what they have.

As we observe people around us, we begin to realize that there are many who have figured out their life's purpose and are able to use this as a guiding force. When life conditions got tough and they were faced with adversities, where others vacillated, lost ground and jumped ship, these people were able to hold steady, navigate their way and stay on course. Wouldn't it be great if we could all be like that!

What Do You Need To Become Successful?

There are literally hundreds of things that you do over and over again in order to achieve the success you are aiming for. I know that one book cannot give you all the answers to becoming successful and fulfilled in life. Volumes can be written on all the different things that contribute to the "totality" of who we are, and who we become and how to achieve success.
