Overview

About the Author

Xema Gold is the alter ego of Valda De Dieu, who was born in Dominica, which the CIA Factbook has listed as "one of the ten most beautiful islands in the world, " and is the prolific author of thirteen novels, three collections of poetry and anthologies, and a number of essays.

After announcing at seven years old that that she would grow up to be an author; she then took on a multitude of other professions, writing while pursuing Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, IPO’s, Real Estate and a few others.Her stories tend to be fast-paced, multi-faceted and to touch on a number of Social, Quantum and/or Technology issues.

She is an avid reader, gourmet cook, gardener and dog-lover. Among her numerous interests are Martial Arts, Skydiving and Screenplays. She also is a Movie, Art and Music buff. In her spare time, she invents gadgets and enjoys beating the computer, 3 players to 1 at Level 5 Scrabble.

She writes certain versions of her novels under the pseudonym Xema Gold; Sci-Fi and Fantasy for young adults as Valkyrie De Dieu; and her poetry collections as Valhalla DeDieu.
Valda De Dieu’s wonderful dog, Big M, pops up now and again in her novels in various reincarnations. Valda and family live in Miami Beach, Florida, where they can see the ocean. Fans may write her at Valda..
