Robert B. Marcus, Jr. is a practicing radiation oncologist and has been a Professor at two major medical schools. He has been president of the Florida Society of Clinical Oncologist, and is listed on the website in Best Doctors in America, U.S. News and World Reports Best Doctors in America, as well as Castle Connolly, Top Cancer Doctors in America. He has been selling science fiction stories since he was in college. The Far Side of Silence, is his first non-science fiction novel.

Kim F. Richardson has served extensive time in the Navy. During much of his active duty he was stationed in the Mediterranean, and spent time at Sigonella, the U.S. Naval Station that is one of the major sites in this novel. The Far Side of Silence is his first novel.
