A research chemist named Bensington develops what he calls the Food of the Gods. When it's tested on a farm, the chickens grow to six times their normal size. Unfortunately, the food works on wasps, earwigs, and even rats!

This classic science fiction novel by H.G. Wells is more topical than ever with GMOs in the news all the time. The novel was adapted into a B-movie back in the 1970s, which focused primarily on the giant rats.
