About the Author

Booki Vivat has been doodling somewhat seriously since 2011 and not-so-seriously since childhood. She grew up in Southern California and graduated from the University of California, San Diego. She currently works in publishing and lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Tara Sands is an American voice actress, television host, and actress. She is well known as the voice of Anna Kyoyama in Shaman King,
Mokuba Kaiba in the English adaptation of the second series Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, as well as Chase on Fighting Foodons. Born in Hartford,
Connecticut, and raised in New Jersey, Sands studied theater at Hofstra
University, and has had a steady stream of voice acting work since high school.
Much of her work is in anime dubbing, with multiple roles in such franchises as
Slayers and Pokémon. Sands has also narrated numerous audiobooks, including
Wendelin Van Draanen’s Sammy Keyes series and Ellen Potter’s Olivia Kidney series. In addition to providing voiceovers, Sands has appeared on-camera in commercials, including as the ‘Office Cheerleader’ in a series for Lipton’s
Cup-a-Soup and television series, including, Everybody Hates Chris. Tara is also a successful television host whose credits include: Cartoon Network’s weekly block, Fridays and major red carpet premieres.

Abbie's mom doesn't understand why she's stressed, and her perfect siblings aren't helping the situation, either. Because Abbie couldn't decide on an elective class, she's been assigned to study hall. Her two best friends actually enjoy school and have found activities they're passionate about. Not having a "Thing" like everyone else is making Abbie feel left behind. The only part of school she's looking forward to is the cafeteria lunches, which include pizza, fries, and cookies. When Abbie discovers that sixth graders are forbidden from eating those foods, she organizes an underground lunch exchange. The success of her food rebellion gives Abbie the confidence to find her voice and, ultimately, her "Thing." Abbie's phobias and worries are charmingly depicted in this heavily illustrated hybrid novel. The humorous, doodlelike artwork makes her struggles entertaining and relatable.
