The third book of the "S.W.I.T.C.H." series finds twins Danny and Josh Phillips working with their neighbor, Petty Potts, who series familiars will remember turned the boys into spiders (Spider Stampede) and flies (Fly Frenzy) in the past. They must find her missing formula cubes, before they are used to unlock the secret to making new species of reptiles. Petty has invented a new version of her S.W.I.T.C.H. (Serum Which Instigates Total Cellular Hijack) spray, which can be ingested orally instead of sprayed on. That should make it nearly impossible for the boys to accidentally change into insects—or will it? Danny confuses his lunchtime juice box with the S.W.I.T.C.H. juice, and he turns into a grasshopper in the middle of school! The boys' only hope is to get Petty to give them the S.W.I.T.C.H. antidote before someone smashes Danny to bits or their teachers realize they've left school.
