Greek Recipes - Simple, Distinctive & Delicious?
by Kanchan Kabra
Greek cuisine seems to have dishes which are creative and made with lots of imagination and research yet is simple. All of fruits, vegetables and nuts are available in the Greek market. Olive oil is extensively used in many dishes. There is good balance of rice dishes and breads in the daily menu and the sweets are often sticky and syrupy. Greeks are fond of sweets and serve them at almost every meal. I have tried to present the dishes which are easy to make and will be palatable to the Indian taste. The book presents a complete menu from soup, starters, bake dish, stuffed dish, sweets and even side dishes. After learning to cook these few dishes one can throw a party and make complete Greek cuisine and surprise you friends and guests.
Happy cooking!!! Cheers
