About the Author

Mary Ann's return to the world of publishing is not surprising. Inspired by her college professors, she was encouraged to enroll in creative writing classes at The New School in New York. After graduating, she began working for Doubleday & Co. in the Subsidiary Rights department. While there, she gained a solid foundation and understanding of the publishing process.

Her debut work is a children's book; a light-hearted story about unexpected friendships, with many lessons learned. The inspiration for this book came from the antics of her two pugs, Gus and Lulu.

Mary Ann's influence stems from early love of reading, particularly the classics. She also takes inspiration from everyday events and situations.

She lives in New York with her husband Vincent Gramuglia and sons Michael and Christopher.
