On the verge of World War II, Johanna and her family must flee Poland and their farm to seek refuge in Canada. Brokenhearted, Johanna is left to deal with life in a new country and wondering about the fate of her best friend.

Dan Mazur is a life-long resident of Niagara Falls who holds a BA in History from Brock University and a Post-Graduate Certificate from Niagara College in Public Relations. He is currently a member of The Rotary Club of Niagara Falls Sunrise where he serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors. Daniel has written many articles for Bullet Media, Niagara This Week, and www.niagarabuzz.ca. He has authored a children’s book about a shelter dog that sold 100 copies and raised $1200 for the organization. Currently Daniel is working on several EBooks that he hopes to release throughout 2015.
