Her Story Her Way Enough
Magenta has become the girl that no one knows...she also has become the girl that no one likes. She thinks that everyone hates her, so she hates them back. Of all those she hates the most, is the "monster" which is what she renames her ex-daddy. Every waking moment she dreads being home, having to do the chores that once belonged to her sister/mama Wilma. Magenta knows in more ways than one how it felt to be Wilma. Wilma has left home and now who will protect them from the monster. Magenta wonders what can their mama do about it; their daddy still beats her too. Some things just never change and things hadn't until the EXPLOSION!

After they were kicked off the farm, they made a new home with Magenta's brother Solomon. All Magenta wanted to do was celebrate. She no longer had to see the monster and there would be no creeping hands during the night! Solomon is mean, but not near as mean as the monster, and Magenta knows he won't try to touch her in her bed at night.

Magenta was always in trouble for something, and as a result, she was always on the receiving end of the beatings. But Magenta didn't care about getting beatings anymore; the pain from her daddy raping her seared her very soul. She felt numb; hate replaced all the emotions that ran through her veins. Time goes on, and although things were not easy, Magenta manages to make it to the tenth grade without getting into any trouble at school. But during her last summer with Solomon she stabbed him, was raped by his best friend, tried to kill herself, and tried to stab her ex-daddy the monster. Then on her fifteenth birthday her mama breaks the life-altering news... Solomon's girlfriend is pregnant...and they (Magenta and her mama), are moving back to the farm.

Where will Magenta end up now? Will she stay on the farm with her daddy the rapist? How will she be able to fend off the monster's attacks now that she is the only child at home? Will she be forced to kill her daddy the monster to keep him off of her? Where will her hate lead her?
