About the Author

Rich Finlinson, M.Ed., APR, is a recovering journalist and strategic communicator who helps organizations achieve their goals by celebrating innovation and fostering interactive relationships. He started behind a microphone telling stories to children on the train ride at an amusement park. He wrote stories and took photos for his high school newspaper. In college his radio stories earned a scholarship and led to an award-winning stint as a reporter and wire service writer. Journalism opened the door to public relations. For more than a decade he has provided strategic leadership in telecommunications and education. He is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America and holds a Master’s degree in Instructional Design and Educational Technology from the University of Utah. He enjoys ham radio, lap swimming and rock climbing.
