About the Author

Tanya Provines earned an Associate Degree in Commercial Art from N.E.O., A. & M. College in Miami, OK, in 1981. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK, in 1983. She was an illustrator/photographer at Tinker Air Force Base, from 1983 to 1988, and was awarded a Sustained Superior Performance Award, in 1985. Ms. Provines is a freelance author, illustrator, and artist. She has written three books, several e-books, and produced two DVDs. Oklahoma Red Dirt Artwork TM is her signature media. Using genuine Oklahoma red soil, she draws and paints archival quality portraits, landscapes, and wildlife scenes. She is also a licensed art teacher and a former certified Grumbacher Fine Art instructor. Her artwork is held in collections across the United States.
