When you reach the place where the road ends, what do you do? For almost a year Vlad has worked to learn what it means to be a wizard. And now he had. It means Blood and death and never giving up no matter how many times you get knocked down. But day to day, hour to hour, what's a newly minted wizard to do? When your choices are endless what is there for you to decide?

Toying with demons wasn't, "ha, ha," Funny. But it was usually worth at least a chuckle or two. Had been in the past anyway. Now it was just depressing. Vlad felt like a bully. Sure demons were literally as low as any being could sink. That didn't make playing with their lives, such as they were, anything but cruel.
Not that he minded being cruel, that was just part of his nature. But he didn't feel like being cruel at the moment. The Knight had just taken the demon's leg out from under it with whip crack of hardened air.
The demon, which looked like a cross between a catfish and a pig with a mouth full of fangs, got up and tried to run away again. Things were getting so the weaker ones were starting to try running before fighting. They were getting wise to the fact that whatever was hunting them, was more than any level one was could handle. Vlad would have to expand his area of operation soon. Once he cleared out the New York maybe he'd go over the water to Jersey. Had to be a lot of demons in Jersey.
Pig head demon started running toward the huge open door of the warehouse. Vlad had tracked it by Reigh sense to the place. Early morning light filtered in through the crack, brining light to the gloom. He stood in the dark beyond the light, a man who looked about twenty-five dressed for school in a black tee-shirt and jeans. The shadows on his oval face were particularly deep today, slithering down from brown hair and brown eyes.
