About the Author

Kelly Matsuura grew up in Australia, and graduated from Victoria University with a degree in Asian Studies. She has lived in China and Japan, and now lives with her Japanese husband in Michigan, USA. Her writing focuses on contemporary and fantasy stories with Asian characters and settings, however she enjoys writing western-style stories occasionally as well. She is a preliminary reader for The Wild Rose Press, and has several paranormal romance novellas she hopes to complete and publish in 2013/2014.


Joyce Chng lives in Singapore, loves sf/f, reading, writing, cooking, gardening and assorted stuff. She has two lovely daughters and a wonderful husband. She also herds cats. Her other writing and publishing credits appear in sf/f publications such as Crossed Genres, Semaphore Magazine, Everyday Fiction, M-BRANE SF, the Apex Book of World SF II, Lunar Station Quarterly and Bards & Sages Quarterly. Stories are featured in anthologies by Semaphore Magazine and Apex (The Apex Book of World SF, II, 2012). Her two urban fantasy novels by Lyrical Press (Wolf At The Door and Obsidian Moon, Obsidian Eye)were released in April and November 2011 respectively. Heart of Fire, the third book in the series, was published by Fox Spirit Books in 2014. Fox Spirit Books is now publishing the Jan Xu trilogy. The Ayam Curtain, co-edited with J.Y. Yang, was published by Math Paper Press, 2012. The Rider Trilogy is also published by the same publisher in 2013.


Holly Kench is a writer and a feminist, with a classics degree and a fear of spiders. She lives in Tasmania, Australia, where a lack of sun provides ample opportunity for hiding indoors and writing off-kilter stories. Holly writes about her life as a stuffed olive on her blog Confessions of a Stuffed Olive (www.stuffedolive.com.au) and manages the website Visibility Fiction (www.visibilityfiction.com), promoting and publishing inclusive young adult fiction.
