In the largest house on the tallest hill of the village, there lived a small girl named Jun Anzu.

She was the smallest student in her class at school. Her head didn't even reach the of her school teacher's knees.

Jun Anzu wished she were bigger so that she would be noticed by the other kids at school.

She had one friend at school named Hiroki. Sometimes, he only remembered that she was in class when she tugged on his sleeve to talk to him.

"When are you going to grow, Jun Anzu?" Hiroki always asked.

Her teacher, Sensei Mayeda, could never look Jun Anzu in the eyes. Jun Anzu was too far down for her teacher to bend over to see her.

"When are you going to grow, Jun Anzu?" Sensie Mayeda asked, looking down through her glasses.
