Kiss the Wave: A Memoir on the Attributes of God
“I have learned to kiss the wave that strikes me against the Rock of Ages.” - Charles Spurgeon

What was the moment when everything in your life divided into a story of before and after?

Was it a beautiful memory – a promotion, a personal triumph, a wedding? Or an unexpected trial – disease, divorce, death? Our brightest days and our darkest nights transform the way we respond to God.

Through my own story – broken relationships, a life-threatening disease, and the restored hope that only comes through Christ – I explore the way God shaped my heart to love Him more. Each chapter extols the aspect of God's character that was revealed to me through those specific circumstances.

Blessing and suffering excavate our hearts, uncovering what we really believe about God and His character. Do you know who God says He is? Do you believe it enough to lean into it?

These moments are pivotal. Will you seek to know Him more through them? As you move from before to after, your heart hangs in the balance.

About the Author

Tara-Leigh Cobble is the author of five books and is a frequent speaker at events for women, singles, college, and youth. She also leads worship and performs concerts around the world. She loves puffins, but has never met one in real life (bucket list!) and she's terrified of octopuses.

In 2009, she launched D-Group (Discipleship Group) Ministries with nine strangers in a living room. Today, she leads hundreds of women in living rooms around the world as part of weekly D-Group meetings. You can find out more information about D-Group – what it is, and how to join or start one – here: www.mydgroup.org

Tara-Leigh lives in suburban Dallas. She has no pets, plants, or children, or anything else that might die if she forgets to feed it. Despite that, she lives with two adults, three children, a dog, and several plants, all of which are still alive (except – full disclosure – the succulent).
