About the Author

John Michael McLaughlin is a school founder (Benton Hall in Nashville, 1977), tenured professor (St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, 1988-1998), and voice in education reform (The Education Industry Report, 1993-2000). Beyond his devotion to education, he is involved in sustainable development in the Kilimanjaro Region of Africa, directs high school theater, and enjoys birding. A native of the South, he now lives on the Northern Prairie.
