About the Author

John Ackerman has supervised spiritual directors and therapists and taught spiritual formation at three seminaries. In addition to being a longtime spiritual director, he has served as a Presbyterian pastor for four decades, most recently at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis.
