Mary Jane Haemig is professor of church history and director of the Reformation Research Program at Luther Seminary in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Her interests include preaching, catechesis, and prayer during the Reformation period. Eric Lund is professor emeritus of religion at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, and editor of Documents from the History of Lutheranism, 1517–1750 (Fortress Press, 2002).
