Live from Fresno y Los
Winner of a 2010 American Book Award, Live from Fresno y Los is a story collection that explores from many angles what it means to be Chicano today. As Rudolfo Anaya puts it, "If the Chicano Movement is waning, what do young Chicanos identify with? Are there lessons in history? Gutierrez raises important questions in his fiction. He reminds us prejudices still exist, but a positive Chicano identity is evolving to serve the people."
