About the Author

Carol S. Pearson, Ph.D., is a world-renowned expert on depth psychology and transformational leadership. She has taught and held senior administrative positions at several major universities. Her publications include The Hero Within: Six Archetypes We Live By; Awakening the Heroes Within: Twelve Archetypes To Help Us Find Ourselves and Transform Our World; The Hero and the Outlaw: Building Extraordinary Brands Through the Power of Archetypes, co-authored by Margaret Mark; Magic At Work: Camelot, Creative Leadership, and Everyday Miracles; Educating the Majority: Women Challenge Tradition in Higher Education, co-edited by Donna L. Shavlik and Judith G. Touchton; Mapping the Organizational Psyche: A Jungian Theory of Organizational Dynamics and Change, co-authored by John Corlett; What Story Are You Living?, co-authored by Hugh Marr; The Female Hero in American and British Literature, co-authored by Katherine Pope; and Who Am I This Time? Dr. Pearson also is the creator of The Organizational and Team Culture Indicator? (OTCI), an instrument that measures the archetypes active in teams and organizational cultures. The OTCI was acquired by Kenexa, a global human resources company owned by IBM, which translated it into numerous languages and uses it with clients all over the world under the name “Kenexa Cultural Insight.” With Hugh Marr, she developed The Pearson-Marr Archetype Indicator?, an instrument that measures archetypes active in individuals.
