Audience: With its focus on clinical diagnosis and pharmacological treatment, the book clearly targets mental health professionals, family physicians, pediatricians, psychiatry residents, and medical students. The authors are the pioneers in writing definitive texts in the field of psychiatry.
Features: Chapters are well organized and use simple language, making the book an easy read. It uses detailed tables of diagnoses and treatments as well as case studies to present the material in a practical and almost visual manner. However, it does have a significant lack of coverage of child development and school consultation that are necessary, if not essential, topics for any clinicians treating children.
