Read an Excerpt

I believe artists should push themselves and their art forms, constantly looking for subtle—and at times radical—ways to improve their creative pursuits. It’s easy to fall victim to routine and, in essence, become a factory worker who spends most of his or her time replicating a successful piece. This is when creativity and growth come to a halt. To avoid this outcome, you must intentionally continue to grow, expanding your range of knowledge and understanding of the art form, the message, and the delivery. Always work to advance in technique, and draw on passion and inspiration from a source outside of yourself.
