About the Author

Lizette Duvenage is an artist born and raised in South Africa, now living in Canada. Lizette studied art, and for a long time she specialsed in fine arts, but always wanted to write and illustrate children’s books.In 2010 she won the Maskew Miller & Longman Literature award for best children's books illustrator. This inspired her to follow her dream of becoming a full time author and illustrator of children’s books. After undertaking an online course for children’s writing with author Robyn Opie it all became a reality. Lizette is currently working full time as a freelance illustrator in Edmonton, AB Canada.
