About the Author

Reverend Gerald Dennis Gill, a priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, was ordained in 1983. Father Gill holds degrees in the Sacred Liturgy from Sant'Anselmo's Pontificio Istituto Liturgico in Rome. He served for 14 years as a parochial vicar in two large suburban parishes and one year as Associate Director of the Office of Worship in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. He was professor of Sacred Liturgy at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary and Immaculata University. Most recently he completed a five-year term as the Director of Liturgy at the Pontifical North American College in Rome and is currently the Director of the Office of Divine Worship of Philadelphia.
