Nascence: The Story of Ferroc
“There’s a beautiful landscape in front of me. The vegetation is lush and healthy, proudly wearing vivid greens. The sky is a crystalline blue. The clouds are white as mountain snow. Everything is pristine. There’s so much life. Like the animals that are so fruitful they almost overwhelm the local ecosystem. But there’s balance to this immaculate, natural world. Everything has its place. Predator, prey, plant, air, and soil. It all belongs.

It’s all cohesive.

It’s symbiotic.

It’s a world filled with air I can’t breathe, fruit I can’t eat, growing from fertile earth I can’t feel, all of it saturating the atmosphere with scents I can’t smell…
This isn’t the apocalypse I was expecting.”

Ferroc…The perfect "human" survivor. In an ecologically thriving world where mankind is almost extinct, a self-sustaining, artificial body is the difference between life and death, especially when facing the remnants of a powerful, alien force. But what does it mean to be human if there is no humanity left? Even within oneself.

Nascence is the story of one man's struggle to survive while still retaining his human spirit. Possessing a robotic body capable of extraordinary feats, his life balances both the mental and physical elements of the organic against the artificial. Wandering the Earth, looking for survivors, Nathan, known as "Ferroc" to the hostile alien race called the Rantir, comes to discover his existence isn't just an unfortunate circumstance thrust upon him. It’s a potential new beginning for the decimated human race. But in accepting his role as Earth’s only savior while confronting a threat that could annihilate what's left of humanity, the line between man and machine grows increasingly vague. Nathan must make peace with a life that could save the human race, but also separate him from it altogether.
