NCIS Behind the Glory
This is a true story of how a young man, woman, and their daughter had an infant pass away of SIDS and then decide to join the Navy after being told that by his resume that he would more than qualified to be a flight nurse. While in fact, the Navy's aeromedical services were performed solely by the U.S. Air Force. That was just the beginning of the lies that would be constructed by the Navy. A story of how the Navy was able to commit malpractice on a seasoned Registered Nurse and get away with it is only the beginning of this horrid tale. In the midst of a trauma bone infection that hospitalized Paul for approximately a month in total, six months of intravenous antibiotics, a bone infection the likes of which has never been seen before, severe pain in his left jaw, he and his family traversed a ravenous journey through the military legal system.
The infection in Paul's jaw consisted of 6 different strains of staphylococcus bacteria and a candiola Albicans, (fungus). An infection this aggressive had never been seen before, admitted by the oral maxilliofacial surgeons. In all his research during his convalescence period, Paul was not able to find but only one similar case in which an osteomylitis occurred in a dental patient. That case happened to be in the public sector and was handled by a civilian dentist and oral surgeon. That case did not end with any of the severe complications that Paul endured. Complications that entailed removal of approximately four inches of his jaw, severe pain from March until the infection was found by a CT scan of Paul's face in October of that same year and a long convalescence period of intravenous antibiotics. All of this came as a result of 2 incomplete root canals that remained that way for a year and a half.

About the Author

He was a registered nurse for 17 years and as you will read on the first page of his books, he lost a daughter to SIDS and all his books are dedicated to her and her sister. He and his wife decided to move out of the Charleston, WV area where they lived. He mistakenly decided that he should join the Navy as an R.N. and officer. Sadly he almost lost his life, but he was allowed to transfer to WV to get medical treatment. Since July 9, 2004 he hadn't received a paycheck from the Navy. His medical, dental and other health coverage was cut off in March, 2008 in an attempt to discourage his pursuits of being medically discharged from the Navy. He died August 31, 2015 of an accute and chronic seizure at the age of 40.
