Night Creeps was a surprise read that has a lot going for it. Sheriff Bowles and his deputy reminded me of Mayberry R.F.D. They seemed like they were ill-prepared for anything tougher than a cat in a tree. This story began like a vintage aliens invade Earth theme but the author did a great job of weaving in subplots and the real antagonist in the form of a frustrated soccer mom. There were some graphic scenes that clearly defined why it is labeled as adult horror.
