About the Author

Scott Martin was born in New York City in 1952, the younger son of a trWashington for two years. In 1959 the Martins moved to Hastings-on-HUdson, Westchester County, New York. Scott attended public schools here through 1970. In 1971 Scott studied poetry and drama at Grove Street College in Oakland, CA. Later he took important courses a t The New School, York College (in Jamaica, Queens) and New York University. Scott is married and has one daughter.
